12x Wideangle Zoom
A 25mm equivalent wide angle lens can capture a subject or scene with more than a two times wider frame from the same perspective as a conventional 35mm equivalent lens can achieve. This extra range is especially useful when you are indoors where you can be restricted in your movements by walls, corners, or furniture trying to take a photo of the family or friends, or when you want to capture a much wider landscape. The Lumix DMC-TZ7 features two aspherical lenses with three aspherical surfaces including two ED lenses. This lens system makes it possible to deliver a 25mm equivalent wide angle lens with 12x optical zoom in a compact body.

Intelligent Auto (iA)
iA mode activates six detection and correction functions – MEGA O.I.S. (Optical Image Stabilizer) to compensate hand-shake, Intelligent ISO Control to detect subject movement, Face Detection AF/AE to focus on faces in the frame and remove unwanted red-eye, Intelligent Scene Selector to select the optimal scene mode automatically, Intelligent Exposure to correct the brightness level, and AF Tracking to continually track a moving subject and keep it in focus.

The DMC-TZ7’s LCD features a large 3.0-inch, 460,000-dot resolution, and a wide-viewing angle that lets you frame your shot in a variety of ways for both shooting and viewing. LUMIX’s acclaimed Intelligent LCD function also automatically adjusts the brightness in 11 steps according to shooting conditions. This LCD provides sharp, clear images in virtually all shooting situations, ranging from nighttime to bright daylight scenes and from low-angle to high-angle shooting.
